Hi there
I was given this small juniper as a gift from my mother.
Before I upset anyone.. Im not rushing in ready to cut and wire.
I would like to know if I'm to leave it for a year to grow and develop before I think of shaping?
It stays out in my yard which will get 6-8hours sunlight and gets watered daily.
If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated, Thankyou

Hello and welcome.
I have to congratulate you: 90% of the newbies here place their tree inside and their question is always the same , “ help my tree is dying”. ( of course it is, Its inside) So, good job on placing it outside where it belongs.
Second, your idea to not start pruning, wiring and repotting is also good. Most want to immediately start to do things with their tree , and a lot of trees are killed this way because of too many actions at the same time or the wrong season.
What you can do now: remove the pebbles, they prevent you from seeing the soil which you need to see to decide when to water. Brings us to your watering schedule. Never water on a schedule, but water when the tree needs is. Depending on which hemisphere you are - but my guess is Northern- it’s winter now so the tree doesn’t need so much water. Also, loose the tray underneath, it does nothing. Concerning watering: don’t know how you do it now, but the correct way is a good drench/shower with a gardening hose or watering can, from above untill water spills from the drainage hole underneath.
So, regarding your question: first try and keep it alive for at least a year ( but it’s off to a good start already), look at it, turn it around, look at it some more. Look at mature bonsai, try and decide which way you want your tree to go, and see which way the tree wants to go.
If you want to learn: this site is a good place to start, lots of info, good courses to buy;YouTube is an encyclopaedia on its own; visit a local bonsai club ( but that could be difficult now), a local bonsai nursery,.....
Have fun with your little ( and very young) juniper
