Hello everyone!
New to the forum and reasonably new to 名媛直播.
I recently bought what I feel is a healthy and good sized Ginseng Ficus with a lot of potential.
However, as good as it looked when I bought it, I'm struggling with the best way to style it. I'm thinking possibly broom style due to its current shape but I'm not sure if I'm limiting myself.
I intend to repot it March into something a bit shallower but if anyone doesn't mind taking a look at the pictures I've attached and maybe offer your thoughts?
Also, is there anything I can do to reduce the size of the main root/trunk? I think it may look more attractive if the main root was shorter.
I really appreciate any help I get.
Thanks in advance!

Well shallower pot AND shorter trunk will prove hard for a beginner in bonsai. Repotting in a shallower pot will proboably expose more trunk.
But I think microcarpa will send out new roots if buried. If so you might be able to cut part of the trunk off whithin a few years.
Most people in here dont want to call ginseng ficus bonsai. But I really hope you can pull it off and create something that looks like an old natural tree and come back an prove us wrong
