Over the last week my bonsai's leaves have started to die.

I live in Sydney Australia and we had a little bit of rain last week so I'm not sure if this is what has effected the bonsai.

Any help would be great as I have the feeling it has dieback.

Yes, that is dieback. You can cut it off in winter.

Rain is no issue as long as it is not toxic in your area. Plants in background seems to do well so I doubt that is the issue.

The soil looks dry to me.

Have you recently wired the tree?

This damage is typical for handling the tree when wiring. Else it could be fungal, but the drying out is to evenly colored to make that my prime concern.

Naturally you can trim the dead pieces off now. No concerns there.

The rain is a nice treat for your juniper. During hot periods in summer I often give the trees a nice howering of water, which also helps keeping spidermites down.

Thanks Everyone for the quick response.

I actually did recently wire the tree and I did wire those branches as well.

Could you tell me what you think I have done wrong? I tried to be as delicate as I could while doing it.

I attached another picture and I can see on the tips that I didn't wire are starting to turn brown as well.

What can I do to bring this tree back to health?
