Hi,

I received this Ficus as a gift at Christmas and have been monitoring this spot on the base of the trunk since unsure what is going on. I did as much research as I could and I do not think it is pests, so I believe it may be a disease? Nothing I was able to find talked anything about what I am seeing. The leaves are all healthy and dark green and there has been steady growth since I have been caring for the tree. Any suggestions?

I water the tree normally every other day and will once a week let it go to a 2 day space because I did not want to over water it being the winter time frame. It is obviously an indoor tree and sits in an east facing window 100% of the time.
