New to hobby, basic starter kit bought for me was created by Red95

Hi all

I have been bought a starter kit by my partner, it has 6 packets of seeds, 4 small cardboard pots,1 ceramic pot and some shears. She has also but a bottle of fertiliser with it.

After reading the instructions it says to put the seeds in the fridge for 2 weeks before soaking them all in different ways. I only really have one spot that I can put them in where my huskies won’t dig or chew them but light isn’t abundant in that area it gets probably 5/6 hours direct sunlight a day.

Am I best to maybe put them outside? My only problem with that is with the dogs I would either have to keep them locked up in some sort of greenhouse or keep them that high up it’d be awkward to care for and enjoy.

Any sort of tips and tricks that would give me the best chances of germination would be greatly appreciated as I’m anxious of failing with them.

Thanks
Ross

Hi,
I had the same problem with my husky and she destroyed 3 of them, so I had to make like a fence around my new trees and seedling

Does not really sound like you have a bonsai problem.

Any sort of tips and tricks that would give me the best chances of germination would be greatly appreciated as I’m anxious of failing with them.

My tip: do a puppy training with your dogs and teach them it is not OK to destroy your living environment.

You don’t know how huskies work then if you think I can just train them to leave it alone

Once my pointer chewed my old ficus, I got so mad, and yelled on her showing what she did, and she got it...
The tree recovered well and she never messed it again. hahahah

But about your seedling, you should plant it on pots, so you can move around according to your need...

The dogs aren’t the problem, if they were I’d be on a forum for that. Instead I don’t know what I’m doing in this hobby and asking advice about bonsai not my dogs.my biggest problem right now is your attitude so shall we talk about that?

Nope absolutely no need. If you get personal, you can just * off. Just go on complaining on how you cannot put the plants in a suitable spot because your dogs would eat them.

Oh, no. You are not asking advice about bonsai. you are asking advice about growing trees from seed. As a hint: Maybe start off by letting people know what plant species you have seed off, where you live / what climate you have. Have fun.

Ok, lets skip the dogs and focus on the seeds.
First of all, you do not have bonsai seed but normal tree seed. If left untouched they will grow out to become normal fullgrown trees. 名媛直播 kits or grow a bonsai kit is a total scam.
So, having this made clear how do we proceed. 名媛直播 are made by applying a multitude of techniques on specific times in a year depending on a lot of variables and this during decades. Most important: horticulture/the health of your tree. Nothing bonsai-ish can be done if your tree is not healthy.
Going back to your seeds. Forget all the soaking and stratificating that was explained, and instead just look at what nature does. It is winter now, so just plant your seeds in a container with some good planting/gardening soil outside and when spring comes temperature and light will do what nature does...or not because it is impossible to tell the age of the seeds in these kits. Could be ages old, and nobody knows what has been done to them.
So, if something sprouts, just keep them outside ( there is no such thing as an indoor tree), repot when necessary and in about 10 years or so you can slowly start thinking about doing something bonsai-ish to them...
I hope this helps...
