So its my first tree I've been growing from seed for about a little over 2 years now. Lately I've been wiring it to get the trunk to turn the other way since its been growing towards to light this entire time and I may have jostled the tree to hard, drastically pulling the wire and snapping off the very tip. This may be me being a worry wort but I already had its much smaller twin die on me about a year ago for similar reasons. (A painting I had done fell off the wall and hit it.) Though when I think about the one the damage was much more severe. Long story short, have I just killed my tree or am I being overprotective?

Nah, don't worry. At the base of the old or existing leaves are buds, which will now be triggered to start growing.

...have you ever considered just turning the tree? It will grow to the light and adjust itself.
