My sister bought me this spruce yesterday as a memorial for my cockatiel passing away suddenly. I have no experience with bonsai but have wanted one for a while. However the rocks on top of this are glued on pretty tight, which I imagine can't be good for it right? Should I try to get it out? Is the pot it came in big enough to reuse? Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your dog :(

In order to make this bonsai live long and propser, you need to do 2 things:

- Remove the rocks
- Keep it outside (But.. If you have serious frost do not chuck it in there unless the store had it outside)

Note: This is a juniper, not a spruce :)
