Rescue Pine not doing well

I rescued this pine in mid-November from the cracks in my driveway. He (she) wasn't going to make it where he started. I repotted in suitable soil in a 2-1/2" deep, 6" wide pot with drainage holes and brought him indoors where he gets morning sun. The roots are weak with one main trunk and very few off shoots. When repotting I did my best to spread the few offshoots as wide as possible without cutting or breaking. The pine is 6" tall, planted at an angle to give the main truck of the root the most space. I water about every other day to keep ground moist - enough that some water seeps from the bottom. The pine is very dry and loses needles at a touch so I spray it daily to give the pine some moisture. I've tried to remove the obviously dead needles and branches but it is more brown every day.
My goal is to get him healthy and growing and attempt to prune and wire in the spring.

Looks like a dead tree to me. Bringing it inside is what probably killed it. Also pines dont like wet soil

Yes, dead. Keeping temperate trees inside during winter is the most certain way to kill them.
