Hello everyone!
I am a novice bonsai owner and would like to ask for ideas on the yellowing and curling of the leaves on my plants please.
I have had them since the spring (I live in the UK) and for the last few months I have noticed some leaves curling or looking shrivelled up. Some turn yellow from the tip or in patches and then fall off.
They came with red spider mites so I've been spraying them under the leaves with water which has stopped the webs. They were quarantined from each other and my other plants but the north/north east windows don't get as much light. They were last fertilised a month ago and I am holding out incase they are going to shut down for winter or are not healthy.
The one in the round pot didn't drain very well so I put glass beads at the bottom to help drainage on and tree in the rectangular pot needs more soil but I haven't wanted to repot or stress them out. They both get watered when the top layer of soil looks and feels dry (every 3 days ish).
It's my first winter with them so I would love to hear your thoughts on what is going on.
Thanks in advance!

I have a new problem ontop of this, there are small white creatures in my soil! I noticed them today after watering yesterday.
Please help and tell me what they are and if they are killing my plants!

The bugs look like springtails. They are no threat to your plant. However indicators of owerwatered or underdrained soil.
