Seeds/saplings in too shallow of a tray?

Hi,
I recently planted a variety of tree seeds in some trays for germination. They are now starting to sprout and I'm starting to think the trays may be too shallow. There is only about 1-1.5 inches of soils in each tray. If I am correct, and this is way too shallow, is there anything I can do with the sprouting seedlings? Should I try to move them into deeper containers?
Thanks.

If you are not in the southern hemisphere you planted in the worst period of the year.
I assume they even are inside? Just place them in a non heated room , and hope they survive till spring when they can go outside . The tray being too shallow is the least of your concern now.
Which species are they?
