-is it a dead plant that you want to know how to get rid of?
- do you want to know how to get rid of the wire?
- tntua
just goofing around of course but really, a picture and a question about what to do is just impossible to answer without a bit more usefull info

I defoliated it about back in June and after that it turned brown and looked the way it did.

Humanity have tried to bring dead organisms back to life for ages, no one have succeded yet.

You defoliated a juniper?????????????
I think you should take a step back and do / learn some basic horticulture first. The health of your tree comes first , everything bonsai-ish second.
(And no, we still can’t revive dead things, that happens only in movies and stories)
