Hello, I bought a small bonsai a few weeks ago. Despite internet research I could not answer my questions how exactly I should wire it.
In the attachment you can find some pictures of my plant and another picture of how How I would like to look like in a few years time.
Now to my question:
In all videos people wire thin flexible branches. But the Ficus Ginseng has thick roots in the lower part, which cannot be moved. So I assume that nothing can be wired there?
But how do I get the curved shape of the bonsai to work? How does it actually grow? Do I have to wire the thin branches with the leaves or the trunk? And if you have to wire the trunk, then how?
I hope I could explain my problem well.
Thank you very much for your help.

The plant in the first picture is old. Probably 20 years older than the one you have. There is nothing to wire, and unless you know what you want to achieve then grow it as it is, a houseplant

Also don't forget that the foillage and brances(Ficus Microcarpa) are grafted on those tick roots of a other kind of Ficus, that is faster growing, and has huge leaves.

In Ficus Ginseng likes a light position out of the full sun. The lighter the position, the more water it will need, so give it regular water and don't let the root ball dry out.[/color]
