Japanese Maple Shin Deshojo bonsai... all leaves fell at once!? was created by Hits109

Hi all,
Very new to caring for a bonsai and I received a beautiful Japanese Maple Shin Deshojo bonsai during the summer (I live in the UK). I have posted in here before as I had browning leaf tips at the beginning, however after putting it outside where it should be, it has been doing rather well since.
The leaves were turning a nice red colour in the past few weeks and obviously I expected the leaves to start falling soon as the weather gets cooler.
Watering daily with bonsai feed every 2 weeks is what I have been doing. However, when I went out to water the other day, I was surprised to see almost every leaf of the tree had fallen off! I understand it is autumn, but should they all really fall at once like that?
I’ll need to research into what I need to do for winter care with regards to pruning and repotting maybe, but any little tips here would be very helpful also!
I have attached pics of a fairly health looking bonsai from just a couple of weeks ago and one from yesterday.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Repotting if needed is done only in spring. Some light pruning is done in autumn.

Thanks for your replies! Doesn’t seem like too much of a concern by the sounds of. Might look to prune then in the next few weeks. How do I know when it’s time to repot in spring? Is there any signs to look out for?
Haven’t had any storms in the last few days, there was a lot of rain a few weeks ago though.
Thanks

No need to prune for a very long time.
