Hi everyone
I will buy a Norway Spruce Nidiformis.
It's in a 4,5 l plastic pot. Nice double trunk.
I would like to know what is the best thing to do in the beginning? Tease the roots a little bit and pot it up with a better drainage soil or few structural brunch cuttings and not touch the soil? Or it's safe to do them both?
I read it a good time to work on spruce now. I hope it's right.
Thanks

Wrong time of year to re pot, and not so good to do heavy pruning. Wait until spring.

Normally, the best thing to do in the beginning is letting it grow and observe it. When you have learned your tree and know how to grow it, you can start think about styling. But that is in one or two seasons away.

A note - this is true in the northern hemisphere. If you are in the southern hemisphere, it is probably time to get to work.
