Brown spots on Chinese Quince leaves

When I bought a Chinese quince three days ago, I noticed that it had brown spots on some of its leaves. Once I got home, I pruned the leaves that had brown spots and applied an insecticide as there was a small hole in a leaf and suspected that it was some pest. I also transplanted my quince into a new pot that day. Since then, I've kept my quince outside in full sunlight (average of 27 degrees Celsius) and have watered it daily.
Today I noticed that my quince has brown spots on some leaves again and am wondering what exactly is causing them to appear. I would also appreciate any advice on how to treat the brown spots. So far, all I've done today is water my plant, apply fungicide, and move it under shade.
Attached are photos of the brown spots from today.

I cant see anything wrong with the leaves, and if it was mine I would not be at all worried and I certainly would not be spraying poisons on it without knowing what and if there was a problem

I guess they are old and tired.
It looks fungal (I doubt it); in the Fall they get odd looking.

Sorry, I didn't mention it in the original post - I live in the southern hemisphere so it's actually spring here. Thanks for letting me know that I shouldn't be worried if my quince starts to look like this during fall, though!

Oh! That changes everything!
I gave up on Chinese Quince here in Brazil after killing a couple, but I do have some Japanese Quince, and by now they are exploding with growth, it's spring after all!
Take a look:

So in your case, I think either they are the old leaves from last year that didn't fall, or there is some fungus .
Where in the southern hemisphere are you located exactly?

Your Japanese quince look lovely, Clicio! Thanks for sharing photos of them
I live in Sydney, Australia. Do you think that trying to grow Chinese quince here would be too hard?
