Hello! May I seek your expert help in identifying this bonsai and how frequent should I water and prune it? I've been advised to spray leaves and soil every other day. And I'm keeping it indoors just beside the window where there's plenty of sunlight. But was hoping to double-check as some of the leaves are turning yellow.

It needs to be outside ( if temps in your part of the world are not sub zero yet). Inside it will die, no doubt about it.
Take away the pebbles ( why are they there...?) . Water until it spills from the drainage hole underneath. Water again when soil feels dry, not on a schedule.
If temps go sub zero for a longer period the rootball can become frozen solid so then you place it in a unheated garage or garden shed until temps go back to normal, never inside the house!

This is not a chinese elm. But I think you know as you called it sageretia in the post. So it is NOT suitable to be kept outdoors for most of the year in cool climates.

A note, most of the world thinks subzero means below freezing. If you are my neighbor in just about the only area that thinks zero is a whole lot colder, you should interpret it that way.

I think it was some French guy? He had some idea of subjective measurement?
