Hello everybody!

I am a rookie attempting to grow my first bonsai tree.

I am using this bonsai kit I received as a present and planted the seeds 6 months ago.

It shot up in the first 2/3 months but has not grown since.

First of all is this normal?

Second of all what can I do to help the little guys growth!

New leaves/sprouts are coming through but some have died which I trimmed off.

Any/All advice appreciated!

Picture of my 6-month bonsai below. I saw another post and a someone's 6-month old bonsai was like a foot tall so I'm feeling demotivated!

It's a small and weak seedling.
Don't trim it off.
Put it outside in dappled sun or in the open shade.
Be patient.
