Hi 名媛直播 Empire family,

I have had this Arabian Jasmine for two years now. It has changed a lot. I have some questions and maybe some of you can help me. I live in Central California if it helps to mention. Any help is appreciated (:

1) Can I rewire the trunk with proper bonsai/copper wire and bend without breaking?
2) Is leaf reduction possible on an Arabian Jasmine?
3) How can I prune/trim for more foliage?
4) Is there a way to yield more flowers?
5) Is open to all other tips as well, so please share anything you find helpful.

I have no experience with the species. So cannot go into the specifics.

In general, more foliage is gotten through healthy growth. Only once a tree is healthy and strong will you get better branching. Your tree looks unhappy with many brown sections in leaves etc. I would say, let it grow for a year and no fiddling.

As for wiring.. Looks like the tree is wired. Why do you want to change the wire?

The wire I used was much harder to work with than bonsai wire. I guess since it’s already there I don’t need to really touch it. You are right about my plants health. Some of the leaves are brown at the edges. I wish I knew why this happened. Fiddling with my tree keeps me sane, but maybe I should let it be for a while.

Thank you!
