I bought this hinoki from a guy that grows them from seed. It's a true nana Gracilis. I finally decided to wire. I don't know what to do with the fat trunk stub that I cut back for good reason. Not much good growth, leggy branches with foliage at just the tips. Luckily, the other minor trunk had natural movement that I extended. Im looking for some tips or pointers on how to make the most the thick secondary trunk. I was thinking of getting the knife out and carving but figured I'd get some feedback. Check the pictures and let me know what your opions are, please. Thanks.

Hm.. Hard to tell, especially with the pictures on their side. Could you next time please put the pictures up in their right orientation?
I think I would make it a very short yin if you have foliage on the right hand side of your new main trunk. If there is no foliage for the right, keep the length, but make it a lot thinner.

Don't know why it put the pictures side ways. Let me try again as plain attachments. Hopefully this is better. The second picture is a branch I plan to wire to fill in the space, potentially, but wanted to see if making the jin would be more aesthetically pleasing.
