Hoping to get some help reviving our 名媛直播 tree. We returned from vacation to find that all the leaves had dropped off the tree. This had started before we left however, there was a power outage which caused a drop in temperature while we were away. We have had the tree for 6 years as it came with the house. We water it a few times a week (3x /4-5 oz), rotate it every year and have never had this happen. While there is new growth on most of the leaves we noticed that some appear to be turning black. See before and after photos through the years. A neighbor suggested using Osmocote Plus. Can you please offer any advice to help us with our tree?

Osmocote is a fertilizer and as such not very usefull because there is hardly any growth.

Not watering for long has killed it. You cannot leave a plant without water and expect it to live. Any leaves coming out are simply whatever nutrients were left in the plant and as the roots are dead it cannot sustain them.

Understandable...We have had the bonsai for 6+ years, have cared for it and left for vacation before. A glass watering bulb was placed in the soil before we left. We are looking to see if anyone has advice as to how to salvage the bonsai. Thank you.

For starters place it outside when temperatures are good enough ( depending on where you live) That means leave it outside during summer so it can gain enough energy to cope being inside. If temps are still ok in your part of the world bring it outside in the sun.
Do not water on a schedule, feel If the soil is dry. Do not fertilise.

Do you often see trees running from rain and taking cover?
Do plants use umbrellas at all?

By and large trees love the rain. It washes dust and stuff off the leaves, etc. It saves you the trouble of watering.

Pay attention to the pot. If you have lots of rain - heavy rain every day - make sure that the pot is draining. If water stands you could get root rot.
