That is a matter of opinion. If they where the same price I would go for 1. That is based on how they look now, not what they can become in the future. But it is your money and you need to spend them on something you like, not on something I like.

..but first of all consider your skill level- if are you going to be placing them inside all the time you better have really green fingers cause most of them die inside. As Tropfrog said its your money but are you willing to throw that money away if it dies ( and don't think it wont, 90 % of the help my plant is dying questions here is because they are inside)

Ten to fifteen I guess.
Maybe a little more.
It is always difficult if we don't know if it comes from a root cutting, a branch cutting, an air layer, or seeds; if they were grown in the ground or only in containers; if the local weather is tropical or temperate.
All those factors affect growth, thickening of the trunk and age impression.
I had one labeled 18 years old at the nursery, much thinner than those. When I asked, the answer was "it is a root cutting and the mother plant is 18 years old or more".
By the way, real age doesn't matter in bonsai; we aim for age appearance.

Agree with everyone.

A comment: my ficus is over 20 years old, meaning I bought it 20+ years ago less than a centimeter trunk thickness in the grocery store. Of all the tropical trees I have had it takes coming inside best. It is relatively resistant to bugs and the lower humidity of forced air heating bothers it least.

Another comment: I probably would prefer buying a 3 mm trunk and growing it to buying one. Just my opinion.
