Hey Everyone,
New member here and fairly new to 名媛直播, so forgive me for any rookie mistakes ha. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to rescue a dwarf pomegranate that was in a pretty rough way. I will recognize that this may be well beyond my skill level to remedy, but it was such a neat tree that I figured I had to give it a shot.
I was hesitant to repot it, but it was in a very heavy, dense soil, which I figured wasnt doing it any favors. So, I put it in some good quality bonsai soil but didnt really mess with the roots too much. It looks like it might have some nutrient deficiencies too, so I added a little slow release fertilizer about a week after repotting. I placed it in a shady location in my yard to recover and I check on it basically every day, but havent noticed any improvements or new growth. Ive attached a few pictures. Any thoughts from the experts would e welcome. Hopefully, its not a lost cause. Thanks all!

thoughts ( but you wont like them...): error one is repotting it, do not repot an already struggling plant. Error two: fertilising it.do not fertilise an already struggling plant.
What you could have done: give it a good watering, place it in a shaded spot , maybe pu a plastic bag over and around it to keep the moisture up and hope- it doesnt look good for this one, but you never know

Fair enough! I appreciate the response. I saw a lot of conflicting information online about repotting and fertilizing, so I took a gamble.
Thanks!

don't give up on it- you did what you did, nothing to do about it now. Dont place it in the sun, and dont fiddle with it anymore
