Put it outside in the sun, water when it is pretty dry, and read How-To about basic care.

Welcome, Maurice.
You should wait, repot it next Spring if it needs it.
Try to keep it outdoors at all times, unless you live in a place where it can freeze many times in winter.

If you keep it inside it will not make 8 years. It looks in quite poor condition at the moment. As has been said do not re pot until spring, and only if it needs doing.

Thanks for the answer i will leave it out for a while but our winter here un Québec are way to harsh to leave it out imho.
Ok no repotting until next spring( i was asking because i saw youtube videos where they said to repot them as we received them because of the bad quality of the soil). So i dont trim it either until next spring. I will be wise and will try to be patient.
Thanks

Very few leaves in summer, poor growth, should be growing at this time of year. Typical generic version of Chinese Elm which has not been grown or looked after well. Tree should be full of leaf right now, looks like it has been in poor light for some time as the extensions are very elongated with excessively long internodes.

There where a lot of leave at the bottom of the box when it arrived. I think traveling in the dark did not help. I did put it out this morning and it spent the day outside under the sun i hope this will help. I waterred it a few time today so it wont dry out. I added some plant food too i hope this will help.
Thanks for the quick answers.

Do I understand correctly that it was inside, and now you are moving it inside and out again? That's a sure way of killing it. It needs to be outside all the time! In winter in an unbeaten frostfree shed or garage, but never inside!!
