Hi,
Newbie here!
So when I very first received my bonsai a few days ago, I was little concerned about what I think look like dry roots?
The soil is moist and has been watered, is this normal for this type of tree?
I think it's a 30 year old Fiscus.
Any help or tips would be amazing.

You have a really nice tree there, albeit a little unkempt.
Yeah, it is normal to over time see a few roots above the surface.
Are you new to bonsai?
I would very much recommend working this tree with someone who knows what (s)he is doing. This is too nice a base to mess around with.
