My bonsai is starting to get a white residue on new leaves and recently the roots. I'm watering about 2x per week with 1 of those being with bonsai food.
I'm not sure what to do! Thanks in advance for any tips, we got this as a gift and I'm not at all green finger Ed

Far too much fertiliser and probably not enough water. The residue is probably from the water and not a problem.Do not water to a schedule you must water when the soil is almost dry.

I usually sit it in a about 2 inches of water, so not over the top of the pot is this the correct way to feed it?
