Hey all!!
I’ve just joined the forum and would really like any advice you might have on shito bonsai!

I have a 6 year old ligustrum bonsai which I bought last year from a garden centre. A couple of months after I’d bought it, shoots started appearing from some exposed root. Before I trimmed them and covered with soil, I took a ‘shoot’ and planted it.

This is 14 months later (trimmed yesterday)! Her shape is constantly changing recently as there’s new growth most days. I’m wondering if I should stop pruning for a couple of months but firstly cut back the branches to allow the trunk to get thicker!?

I’ve no clue what I’m doing, but ideally I’d like to keep her this size. Has anyone had experience growing and maintaining mini shito bonsai and any tips?
