Young seedlings

Hi, I was given a kit 'grow your bonsai' and I am very pleased to see seedlings have appeared after months of preparation; second set of leaves now growing. Unfortunately they are very close to each other. They only measure 1cm at the most.
I have 2 questions:
1. should I carefully try and separate the seedlings and give them their own pot? If so, can I handle the leaves?
2. I live in Scotland, it is now summer, should these go outside now? Or later? Or not at all?

I'm very sorry I cannot tell what type of seeds I have (no description in packaging at all), that probably doesn't help knowing what is right to do. Please log in or register to see it.

Not knowing what they are it is hard to know how much temperature variation they expect. If they are birch they want to be outside all winter. If they are tropical, not.
Maybe separate them into separate pots, leave a third outside all winter, a third inside when temps drop below 10C, a third in a room around 0C when temps go below freezing, and see what lives.
When the leaves get larger an app like PlantNet could identify them and then you could tell better what they want.

Looks like they have plenty of space for now. I would bring them outside, in dappled shade. Let them grow. I am sure that when they have grown a few leaves it is possible to determine what you have there.
