I just repotted my fukien tea from a training pot into a bonsai pot two days ago. As I was doing it, I was wishing I had a slightly bigger pot, but I didn't so I just kept going. I cut off about half of the main root of the tree, but left the rest pretty much alone. I watered it afterwards and left it outside last night because the weather said the low was 58F. I have been keeping it and a ficus outside in an upside-down aquarium with a humidity tray when the weather permits (sunny in the morning but shaded in afternoon). Today I went out to add fertilizer but noticed the leaves were very wilted on the newly potted fukien (see image). What can I do to correct this? I'm not sure what's wrong?

You have the be careful with root pruning to leave a lot of little hair like roots. You may have gotten too much and the tree may be having problems with that.
You can't put the roots back on, so fro now leave it outside. 58F is really fairly nice for a tree. They have not been bludgeoned by decades of advertising to think they have to keep the temperature within a narrow band, and they just enjoy outside. Water it every now and then.
