Hello all! I am new to this forum and to bonsai care. I would say about 2 weeks ago I noticed that the leaves on my bonsai were starting to turn white and around the same time I noticed that the foliage was starting to die. The only thing I have done to my bonsai since I have gotten it is add pellet fertilizer. I am not sure if this may be causing what it is happening. I know not to fertilize on a schedule and I try to fertilize only when I think it is necessary. Does anyone have any experience with this and if so is there anyway to fi this? Any help would be very appreciated!

Sorry, I said I know not to fertilize on a schedule, and I meant water. I do not water on a set schedule.

Do you keep it indoors or outdoors?

Seems it is kept indoors, in a very dark room. So, that is the reason of the problem, it needs to be outside or it will die.

That is lack of light, Junipers need full sun.

When I first got the juniper bonsai I thought that I would be able to get away with giving the tree about 4 or 5 hours of sunlight a day. About a week ago I started leaving it outside full time. Do you know about how long it will take to make a recovery? Or if it can recover at all?

The constant chance of position has made it even worse. If it recovers you will see new green. But the green needles of coniferous trees tend to stay green long after the tree is already dead, so... chances are not so good. But you never know, water/sunlight, NO fertiliser until you see new green.
