Can someone give me advice on what's happening to my rhododendron please. It's been on my deck since March and doing really well. It bloomed and has a lot of new growth. It started getting yellow leaves 3-4 days ago and looks like something is eating the leaves but only a couple. I thought it might need more sun so I moved it but after one day in the sun the center of the leaves started turning brown. I put it back on the deck but don't know what to do.
I have attached two pictures.
Suggestions?
Thanks

The yellow leaves seem to be on the inside, and are thus old leaves? That is normal. Also evergreens drop leaves at some point.
Rhodondendron is a plant that can take sun, but I see them do better in shaded locations. The brown spots is sunburn from moving it from a dark to a full sun position.

I'm with leatherback, the leaves turning yellow and falling off are on the inside... it looks like you have new growth... giving the tree proper care, and waiting would help. you chould check for insects, some of the leaves look like you might have some.
do you know the exact species of rhododendron?

No, I don't know the exact species. I can now see the veins in the leaves which I don't think is a good thing. You are correct, there is new growth and it actually looks like some buds are forming.
I will give it some time to see what happens.
Thanks for getting back to me.
