Hi all!
I’m growing my first ever bonsai trees from seeds and could use some help!
I have a Chinese wisteria (photo attached) that has just started to sprout.
Can you guys tell me if it needs to be pushed into the soil more?
Or should I leave it?
Presumably it’s happy if it’s growing?
Thanks
Jamie

Edit:
The attached photo shows part of the seed that almost on top of the soil.
Do I need to intervene and push it down?

It is happy. You have no need to push it down unless the entire seed casing is push above the soil and no leaves. Then the seedling is getting strangled by the seed cover.

Trees manage to grow from seeds pretty well without much in the way of human intervention. Let it grow outside. You might want to be aware of squirrels and other critters. The tree would want some help with them.

The written directions are pretty much wrong. Put the tree outside in the sunshine. Water it when it is dry, which in most climates during the summer means once ir twice a day, not week. Don't water it by soaking from the bottom, but spray from the top, sort of like rain, until water pours out of the hole in the bottom.
If the temperatures there are over 95F/35C you might put some protection from the sun up, but by and large it wants a lot more than three hours of sun.
Read the directions here on the empire for more details.

... you have been given plant food? Impossible , sunlight is food for plants.
You probably mean fertiliser?

Thank you Ivan for the advice. Now as far as the health of the tree is it healthy? Also when you mean rain over the tree do you mean like the water faucet nozzle and water it over each day twice a day?
