Hi everyone,
Can someone please identify this bonsai tree for me? It's my first ever one and it only had a generic label on it without any detail - I think it's an outdoor which is a shame as I'll have to take it back but I wanted to double check first.
Thank you in advance!

Just to add to the above, from searching on Google, I think it's a Buxus harlandii 名媛直播 but wanted to be sure.
Thanks
Thanks

This plant could be a box. If that is the case then it MUST be outside. It looks in reasonable condition at the moment but kept inside it will not be like that for very long. You need to learn how to water properly and how to prune etc. First thing to do is put it out.

you should really drop the idea of buying an " indoor" bonsai. Although they are labelled "indoor", and often even " for beginners" they are far from that, hence the hundreds of posts here from people with dying indoor trees. There is not one tree in the entire world that lives naturally indoors.
You have bought this tree, place it outdoors where it belongs and enjoy it there.

Thank you for the responses.
We can't just put it outside sadly as we've not really got that much of a garden and anywhere adequate for it - we'll take it back and my quest to have a bonsai will have to wait a little while longer!
Thanks

A garden is outside- that's all you need. Don't give up so easily, it's just a tree, it doesn't require much more than sun and water.
