Unique lighting situation

I recently moved to an apartment that gets inadequate sunlight. It is East-facing, but there is a wall of trees that only allows about an hour of sunlight for my juniper bonsai. Placing it outside is not an option, so I’ve been forced to use LED grow lights.
My question concerns dormancy: In winter, more hours of sunlight will be able to get to my bonsai, but shouldn’t this be when my bonsai goes dormant? Do people ever switch seasons in which they let their tree go dormant? Or would I just let it go dormant in the winter and not supplement with LED lights?
As a parallel question, have people had much success with growing bonsai using primarily LED (or other types of) grow lights?

Junipers Inside with a growing light... I don’t think there is anyone here doing that, and probably with a good reason. It’s not only the light: our houses are much to dry, too little or no air movement,....I’m afraid you are heading for a dead plant sooner or later

If putting it outside is not an option you need to look for another plant to grow. Junipers just dont make it. There are 100s of threads here proving it.

I am not 100% sure, but I think it's a Chinese Juniper
I've attached a picture in case you or someone else wanted to take a crack at confirming this.

Do you think it could survive a year with plenty of LED lighting?

Doubtful as it also needs to have a cold spell which it will not get. led lights are not substitute for sunlight, only a suppliment.
