Hi Everyone,
First post here. I'm brand new to 名媛直播 but have been doing a lot of reading. i just bought two Jacquline hellier elms from a nursery, styled them and then did a first potting. 1 tree is doing great, new sprouts, budding, but the other has started to die off, leaving drying out and falling off.
I've been watering them conservatively (every 3 days) and misting them everyday. Any thoughts as to why one would be doing so much better than the other? I have them inside but positioned right in the sun, my apt is south facing and get alot of light, full floor to ceiling windows.
I will note that the tree that is doing better was my 2nd attempt at styling and i was much more careful, didn't prune as much and did only maybe a single wire, vs the first tree (dying one) which i went a little bonkers on.

unsure. Maybe you cut the roots of one more than the other?
What are you growing these in? The substrate does not look like something that support a plant for multiple days without watering?

Thanks for the reply, its a mix of the bonsai soil i got from the bonsai shop (PIC) and potting soil. I put the bonsai soil into another tree and it was getting dry to fast so I thought the mix with the normal potting soil might retain water better.
I have been checking it every day to make sure it doesn't try out...the river pebbles on the top were added to keep the moisture in there.
I'm actually not 100% sure what is in this bonsai soil, looks like some red lava rocks and other things.

keep them outside, and watered. don't over water. Elms are pretty tough, they'll recover.
