I have been growing a bonsai tree from a seed for about two years!! It is growing tall with a lot of leaves, but does not have a lot of bark. When should I begin wiring and the repotting process?

My recommendation is after you have read through the material on the empire website and watched a few videos. You could replace the videos with in person classes.

Thanks for your advice! Actually just took the beginner course, which was excellent, but it did not say the age at which you can begin the bonsai journey.

When the tree starts to show an inner character it is time. A seedling doesn't show anything. A couple of years later maybe, barely. Some might see some inner character after five years. I doubt I would.micbene917 wrote: Thanks for your advice! Actually just took the beginner course, which was excellent, but it did not say the age at which you can begin the bonsai journey.
There is a classification of mame, which are very small. I don't know how they are styled.
