Expert opinion needed:
As I am an absolute beginner experimenting in the world of bonsai, I need an opinion. This is my very first successful rooting from a cutting. I planted it in this container in the beginning of 2020. The cutting has grown and even produced flowers, and is still flowering. As you see, the plant is still in a plastic container. I wonder when I should prune the branches and roots and move it to a proper pot. I am in Saudi Arabia and it is around 40 degrees Celsius during the hottest parts of the day, and it will get hotter on the days to come. Should I wait until it stops flowering? I do not really want to make a mistake and ruin this beauty.

You need to realise that this plant like this is nothing to do with bonsai. It is many years from being called bonsai. You need to grow it and once it is big enough then start styling. I have no idea what plant you have and it would seem you don't either. You need to find ut what it is and how to treat it. I would have thought it might be a tropical species and so could be re potted most of the year, but I am not sure about that. It is no where near to being put into a bonsai container, it should go into a slightly larger pot and grown on. Someone else here might have another opinion, wait and see if you get more replies

Without the name of the species it is impossible to know how to look after it. You do not treat a pine the same as a maple or larch, so knowing what the plant is has to be the first question when buying. To say that it does not matter is not helpful.
