Kurjack is a simple man, a trooper. He's seen a lot and has stormed many winters. I had a friend who was supposed to watch him this pandemic, needless to say we aren't friends anymore...
From one bonsaiking to another, please help me help Kurjack.
In all seriousness, he is a golden gate ficus and I want to see him thrive again. I've been watering him and giving him enough sunlight. He is sprouting new leaves near the base as shown in the picture. Can he be revived? Any advice helps!
Thank you for your time,
-Thomas

congrats on bringing it back to life.
I would suspect that the top has died to an extend that recovery is unlikely. But why not give it a month or tow more? Just make sure the sprouts on the bottom of it stay alive.

...well for my dilettante two cents at least i envision a time when ur ficus, lopped off above the only live growth on the trunk some years prior, looks great despite a huge dogleg in the trunk not far from the soil~
Like, i mean, chop it above the fresh growth so all the vigour goes one way, into the new growth?
