I received a beautiful bonsai for Mother’s Day. I’m a plant lover but I’ve never had a bonsai. Everything from tree, soil and pot came together. Honestly I’m not sure what to do next. Can someone tell me something or guide me to a book for beginners.

First we need to know what species of tree you have, so a picture. Next depending on where you are will depend on where you place this tree. As for books, there are many good ones, I would recommend you look on bonsai4me.com and look at Harry Harrington's books, they are very good and well worth getting. There are some excellent videos here if you look in the store for beginners too.
