Hi there everyone, I am new to gardening in general. I just got my first bonsai, but I simply cannot figure out what type it is, even though I've been researching for ages trying to figure it out. Could anyone help me out by identifying it? Attached is a photo of the bonsai. Thanks

What did the seller say it is, and why do you think it is something different?

I bought it from a regular gardening store, I only have the website of the company it came from, which is orientalonline.nl, but they do not specify the type of bonsai. I tried emailing them but no response.
I just would like to know what type of bonsai tree it is, so I can take care of it accordingly.

If it is what I think it is then it must be put outside. It looks to have flower buds am I right? If I am then I think the plant you have is an Olive, it will not survive inside. Better pictures would help

Oh dear haha, thanks for your input. I thought it was an indoor one initially, I got it with literally zero information about it. Here's another photo hopefully it's more helpful. Let me know what you think.

Olive was what I was thinking too.

Looking at it closer, I think it might be too! It is hard to tell when it's still so young and small. I'll do more research about olive bonsai maintenance then, thank you both!
