Some Yellow Leaf Dropping

Hello, I've always loved 名媛直播 trees but have never owned one. Last Christmas I was bought one as a present. To my horror I found that it had been bought online in late Nov and had been left unattended in the box until I opened it on Christmas Day. Literally no light or water for three weeks or more. It was as far as I could tell dead. The leaves were brown and crispy and they all literally fell off as I removed it from the box. That said I soaked the tree in rain water and left it on the window sill, watering it often. To my surprise very soon after it was covered in tiny green buds and after a few weeks turned into a beautiful Chines Elm. It has remained (to my knowledge) happy and healthy since. I water it to the best of my knowledge, and have fed it, probably slightly over watering if anything. The last week or so some of the leaves have been turning yellow and dropping off, the tree still looks healthy but is this normal in April/May. I'm desperate not to lose it, especially after its history and bringing it back from almost dead. The worrying thing is that in Feb I bought a Bush Cherry to go with the elm and the same is happening to that. Looks healthy but has some yellow leaves that are dropping off. Thanks, Ian.

It sounds as if you have them inside your house, put them outside now. You were very lucky to have the Chinese Elm recover, but you must not keep it inside. Water when the soil is almost dry and it should recover. Just in case it is something else check under the leaves for insects, unlikely but possible. Stop the fertilise until it is healthy again.

Thanks, yes they are inside. I get terribly confused because so much of the advice you read on line seems conflicting. Living in England it can still be cold at night at this time of year and I don't know what to do for the best.

Thank you. I've moved them both outside. Do they look healthy enough? I'm so new to this that I honestly can't tell

They look perfectly healthy to me.
Nice happy lush shiny foliage.
Be carefull with direct sun. Like us, plants can get sunburn after a winter indoors. So go for dappled sun initially and over a fer weeks move it ever more into the sun. Adjust watering accordingly

Thank you to everyone. It's relief and helpful to get some advice, being a beginner it can be stressful, and I was rather concerned about the few leaves turning yellow and dropping off.

Hi, back again. I'm getting concerned as my tree has been outside for roughly three weeks now and looks like its slowly deteriorating. It's dropping leaves and getting bare patches on it's branches. I keep the soil moist and apart from being outside I don't do anything any differently from when I virtually brought it back from the dead in Dec. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

The leaves at the end of the growths are new leaves, and leaves do die. It is normal, just keep ti watered and some fertiliser and it will be fine.
