My son received a bonsai kit for Christmas 2018- starting from seed.
Out of all the seeds, two grew. They’ve been in the same container since he planted them (he’s off to college now). I don’t know what kind they are or if I should be separating them, transplanting them...if so into what sort of container and what kind of soil? They look to be very delicate.
I’m going to try to attach a picture below.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They don't look too healthy- soil seems a wet muck .. are they inside or outside?

Nice to see you get inspired. But.. Unfortunately.. These seedlings are not alive anymore. Not sure why they died; Loads of possibilities. Lack of light & sprouting indoors is a likely one.
