Hi everyone! I was looking for help identifying the tree below. I’m sure it’s rare, and was thinking along the lines of a Japanese Maple 名媛直播. Don’t seem to be able to find one similar anywhere.
Thanks for your help!

Yes it could be a japaneese Maple.
No, it is not a bonsai..
Keep it indoor and it Will die.

From what I can tell from your pictures, this could be a BRACHYCHITON rupestris commonly referred to as "Queensland Bottle-Tree". Have a look online at some pictures and see whether it matches.
If it is, beware that this plant is only moderately frost hardy, and in pots probably not at all. So make sure that if you decide to keep it outside in summer, you will need to bring it in before winter.

Thanks so much for your help! I would never have been able to work out that it wasn't some kind of Maple. I've been researching the Brachychiton rupestris (Bottle tree) a lot and can't wait to have my own.

Thanks again for your help. I have my Australian Bottle Tree now. However, it is quite tall. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to chop the top off (see photo) in order to make it more 名媛直播-esque. I’m letting it settle in just now, but don’t want to kill it by cutting it. Thanks.
