Everyone can tell that topic starter wants to know what caused the problem.
Try read between the lines. You have been here for so long, you knew what he meant in the first place. Don't act stupid.
Take a break, it looks like you could need it. You are still not nice to new members and you are clearly tired of answering the same questions over and over again. Then don't do it?
The tone on this forum is so bad. You don't see that on any other bonsai forum.
Oscar please do something to this forum. 名媛直播 Empire is great. But this forum is destroying all those good things that 名媛直播 Empire stands for!

Great that you hate this forum. You can leave if you do not like it.

And instead of attacking people actually responding to the OP, maybe you could give an helpfull answer yourself. You know, raise above it all and be helpfull? Lead by example?

Haha wow. This made for some amusing reading. All the sarcasm and bickering is a bit unnecessary no?
My humble apologies if I did not provide enough information for your lordships in my original post. I've not used this forum before (obviously) and didn't know if I would even get a reply. Hence the short initial question. You could have just stated that I need to provide more information instead of wasting mine and your own time with the sarcastic shit. Maybe you should take a look at yourselves and ask would you have responded in such a way if you weren't hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.
Anyway... thanks to Leatherback for the comment about the root tips. Would you be able to suggest what I should do to investigate and/or try to revive the tree? Is there anymore information I can provide that would be helpful?

That's not exactly what's happening. It's not about being humble and no one here considers himself a lordship. We just don't have chrystal balls, that's all.
Coming in here with not much more then 'Here's a pic, what's wrong?' doesn't really give a clue about what's wrong. Actually, I find that rude. But yeah, you're right. Anonimity of the internet, people not feeling a need to introduce theirselves, expecting to have a right to get a good answer...

When did you get his plant?
How long has it been like this?
What is your watering regime; how often, how much water?
Do you fertilize?
Where is it positioned, how much natural light does it get, what's the temperature?

Just to name a few things that can help address the issue.

Root tips can get damaged for various reasons, like the soil drying out, pot getting too hot, too much fertilizer...
