My friend had always told me she wanted a 名媛直播, so I purchased a Ficus 名媛直播 for her last year for her birthday, along with a book and a one hour class to the 名媛直播 nursery.
Long story short, she admitted last week that the 名媛直播 was dead, except for a few random leaves and did I want her to throw it away or give it back to me to nurse it back to life, if at all possible. I have posted pictures of it, before and after removing the dead leaves, as well as one of the little sprouting leaves.
Question: should I cut off the dead branches or let it do its thing? Should I put it outside (patio) to dry (I think she overwatered and did so randomly).
Thank you for your help.
This year, she is getting a plastic plant....

Dont cut anything. What I would do: Put the plant in a transparant bag in a semi-shaded warm spot. Wait. Once a day let the plant ventilate to avoid fungus.

Wow, never thought of that. Thank you...
Should I leave it in the pot or remove the pot to allow the roots to dry out?

Leave it in a pot.
THe roots are not to wet I bet. It is the drying out and then getting wet which is an issue. My ficus stands in a tray with water most of the time.It is next to a heater so always warm though (And 7 feet taal)
