Hi Everyone, I got my carmona about a month ago and have been underwatering it, as it did not come with watering instructions. The leaves started falling while still green, but now all of them have become dried out. I just found this website today and learned a lot about bonsais, so after reading my guess is that I underwatered it and allowed the soil do dry completely, which made the leaves dry out.
My question is: should I shake it so all the dry leaves can fall and give space for new leaves to grow? Inside the bark is still very green, so I'm guessing it's not dead.

Hm.. You have the tree in front of you, but to me the trunk looks very wrinkled, typically a sign of a tree where life has left.
You can always remove the old leaves, that is no problem. I do not think it will help you though. I would venture the guess that this is a dead tree
