Hey All!

My bonsai has been doing great for 6 months and then about a month and half ago it started to drop leaves. Now it will loose a few leaves a day Some of the leaves have small brown spots on them. Also, there are what appear to be small bugs (spider mites?) on the leaves (I have provided a picture) that I have since removed from the tree. How do I keep these away?

I am not sure if I have over watered the soil a few weeks ago or it is the heater in my apartment causing the leaves to drop.

Any help or questions would be greatly appreciated!

from the first picture it looks like scale. there are a variety of ways to deal with it... they generally come, when plants are inside for the winter.. My ficus got them often in the winter... some use insecticide some use different mixtures.. have a look around and see what you can do.
