Hi, All -
I've had this ficus for a few years and it has always thrived w/o fuss. Recently, the foliage has begun drooping/yellowing pretty significantly. It went a little longer than usual w/o being watered, but I have since brought it back to routine. It sits in a south-facing window that it has done well in for a year. Nothing, aside from that small lapse in watering, has changed. Do you think this is the primary cause of its current state?
I was hoping to repot this year... Is that still feasible in this state or is there an added risk b/c it isn't in top health?
Thanks in advance!

I would not be surprised if all of these leaves die and fall off in the near future. If you are lucky, this will be a response to the shock of underwatering and the tree will bounce back. Make sure you do not overwater it: less foliage = less water use. It may take a number of weeks to start showing new growth. Scratching the bark off to see if the cambium is still green is not really indicative of if the plant is alive or not. You should not repot a plant in poor health unless the soil is the source of the issue.
