Hello! I bought and planted a cherry blossom seed after cold stratification. It's been pretty hot for the last 2 months in Australia so it's looking brown but it has recently started going green at the bottom. However, I am not sure if it really is a cherry blossom since I can't find pictures online about how a cherry blossom sprout should look like. Sorry, I'm a beginner

The brown stick looking thing has been growing in the past few days, I can take another picture tomorrow and show if you'd like.

I only see a white sprout that is dying - and will be totally dead within less than a week and a pot that is far too wet?
Finding what a cherry seedling looks like is not that hard, really, but no one will be able to tell you what this is.

I thought it was dying but it was brown a few weeks ago and it was drooping. Once the temperature got cooler, it started straightening up again, which is why I was wondering what is going on. Also thank you for telling me that the pot is too wet, didn't know what the instructions meant by "keep the soil moist".

If you stick a finger in the soil and it feels moist (it sticks to the finger) then you are watering correctly.
By the picture surely it is way too wet.
