As the topic reads my friend have had his ficus 6 months. Is this emergancy,?

The way he has cut the branches looks dark inside it. Im new aswell so is he

Nothing work at all. Only thing I would do is remove the small leftover stumps with a sharp knob cutter or similar, once spring/summer hits and the plat gets growing strongly. The cuts then heal better eventually
