As no one replied, it is likely that no one has had succes or no one has tried.
Personally, I would not try this plant.

It's a tropical, used as hedges, needs humidity and sun. Warm weather.
Very difficult to be grown indoors.

If no one replies, you can expect no one has tried.
If no one has replied in three weeks, you can be pretty sure no one has tried.
Just like scion grafting ficus, there's probably a reason why no one does it.

Just that bonsai websites in Germany sell them as indoor bonsai.
Talked to my local garden shop who sell the none dwarf version and according to them theres no problem with growing them indoor all year, like you say thay are tropical.
But do not want to buy it just to watch it die..
Some say carmona is difficult to grow as well but I think they arr easy.

Could you please be kind and show us your bonsai? Like most here do?
I am very curious to see your Ficus and your indoor Carmona.

Do not want my bonsai circulating on the web so please no
But please stay to the topic and read my previous post, since that was what I wonder.
Here example of websites selling gardenia as indoor:
Thought someone had more information here, guess I was wrong
